NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards

Spend a summer on Canada's beautiful West Coast!

Qualified undergraduate chemistry students in majors or honours programs with a minimum upper 2nd class (cumulative average of "B") standing and having completed at least their 2nd year of studies, are invited to apply for NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards for May-August 2012 at the Department of Chemistry, University of Victoria. Selected students will receive a minimum monthly stipend of $2000 and a travel allowance. Research projects are available in organic, inorganic and physical chemistry/chemical physics. Information about potential supervisors and details of their current research interests are available elsewhere on this site.

Interested students are encouraged to contact potential supervisors before formally applying.  A completed NSERC application Form 202 will be required. This form, together with instructions and program notes, is downloadable from the NSERC website at http://www.nserc.ca. In addition, you are required to submit a transcript and two written references with your application.

Deadline for receipt of completed applications in the department is January 31, 2012.
